Pilates Anytime: Add Some Hand Weights

 Welcome to the fifth class of instructor Kira Lamb’s 30-Minute Pilates series, from Pilates Anytime, an online streaming platform.

This Pilates mat class, Add Some Hand Weights, will emphasize steps you can take to strengthen your upper body. The instructor will introduce hand weights to make the moves more challenging. At the same time, you’ll be encouraged to listen to your body and do the exercises without the weights, when needed. This class offers modifications for people of all fitness levels, including beginners.

About the instructor

Pilates Anytime

Kira Lamb is a New York state–licensed massage therapist and Classical Pilates teacher certified through Power Pilates and The New York Pilates Studio. While currently in private practice, she began her teaching career in 2002 at boutique studios and luxury fitness clubs in Los Angeles and New York City. Her love of Pilates grew during her 20-year career as a professional dancer and aerial artist, which included touring with Puff Daddy, Missy Elliott and Gloria Estefan and performing in off-Broadway shows like De La Guarda: Villa Villa and Fuerza Bruta: Look Up.
