People watch lava burst from a newly erupted volcano Aug. 6 near Iceland’s Keflavik Airport, a global travel hub, outside the town of Grindavik, Iceland. Visitors were warned by Iceland officials to stay away from the volcanic fissure, which typically doesn’t result in large explosions but can release noxious fumes and hot magma. The volcano erupted last year and lasted about six months.
