In the past few years, the need for flexible work arrangements has become a driving factor in employee satisfaction. Employers understand that they need to respond to the needs of workers of all ages, especially those who prefer work-from-home jobs.

One resource for spotting companies that are committed to older workers and offer remote jobs is the AARP Employer Pledge Program. Most of the companies in the AARP Employer Pledge Program have indicated they offer flexible, hybrid and remote work opportunities.

More than 1,000 employers have signed the pledge. In doing so, they publicly state that they:

  • Believe in equal opportunity for all workers
  • Recognize the value of experienced workers
  • Recruit across diverse age groups and consider all applicants on an equal basis, regardless of age
  • Believe that workers age 50 and older should have a level playing field in their ability to compete for and obtain jobs

The following are some examples of AARP Employer Pledge Signers who currently are hiring workers of all ages for remote work opportunities. Clicking on the “Find remote jobs” links below will take you to current postings for three of these companies on Indeed. AARP and Indeed are teaming up to provide career resources to older workers.
