Caring for someone living with dementia can be both deeply meaningful and uniquely challenging. To support caregivers on this journey, AARP Texas is partnering with the Alzheimer’s Association to offer a series of free virtual educational programs throughout 2026. Each session provides practical tools, trusted resources and expert guidance to help families better understand dementia and respond with confidence and compassion.

These online classes are designed for anyone caring for a loved one with dementia, supporting a veteran, or simply seeking to learn more about effective dementia care. Participants will gain insight into communication strategies, changes that may occur as dementia progresses, and ways to promote independence and dignity. Caregivers will also learn how to respond to behavioral shifts and connect with community services that can help along the way.

All events are free and held live on Zoom.
