CHEYENNE - AARP Wyoming and the Audubon of the Rockies will offer three in-person bird watching field trips in Wyoming this spring. The events will take place in Laramie, Sheridan, and Cheyenne and feature Zach Hutchinson, Community Science Coordinator with Audubon of the Rockies, teaching participants how to spot, identify, and observe birds in their natural habitat.
The series will be made up of:
Participants will enjoy a guided walk through a local park. Hutchinson will share insights on bird behavior, habitats, and what species you’re most likely to see in Wyoming this time of year. Participants are encouraged to bring binoculars, sun protection such as hats and sunscreen, comfortable walking shoes and water. These walks are casual, educational, and designed for all experience levels. Expect light walking, hands-on learning, and a chance to connect with nature alongside fellow bird enthusiasts.
Space is limited to 25 people per site. You must RSVP. The events are open to all, and there is no requirement to be over age 50 or an AARP member to take part. To register, click here and use your free aarp.org sign-in.
