AARP DC strives to ensure that older District residents and their families live their best lives. We contribute to, excel in, and deliver on AARP’s mission and purpose. Our work is localized, integrated and accomplished by a dynamic team of volunteers and staff working across all eight wards to support the Age-Friendly DC initiative to make the District a great place for all ages to live, work and play! There are more than 78,000 AARP members in Washington, DC.

AARP has state offices in all 50 states, plus the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. AARP is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization with a membership that helps people 50+ have independence, choice and control in ways that are beneficial and affordable to them and society as a whole. AARP does not endorse candidates for public office or make contributions to either political campaigns or candidates. AARP Foundation is an affiliated charity that provides security, protection, and empowerment to older persons in need with support from thousands of volunteers, donors, and sponsors.
