Everyone is welcome, and you don’t need to be an AARP member to attend. Coffee Talks
Join us for free coffee and conversation with neighbors, friends, and local leaders. Our monthly gatherings are held in Bangor, Auburn, Fort Kent, and Yarmouth, a great way to connect, learn, and stay involved in your community.
On Tap
On Tap in Portland, Auburn, and Bangor to get updates on AARP activities, meet our volunteers, and enjoy a free drink. Learn how volunteering with AARP Maine can be a meaningful and rewarding way to give back.
Weekly Virtual Wellness Classes
Gentle yoga and meditation sessions you can do virtually from your home - all levels welcome.
Monthly Virtual Fraud Watch
Stop in for our virtual scam prevention discussion, Fraud Watch with Phil and Pam, held on the second Thursday of each month. Get tips on how to recognize red flags, protect your personal information, and avoid becoming a victim.
Bowling in Brewer
Join us for a fun-filled afternoon at Bangor Brewer Bowling Lanes on the second Wednesday of each month from 1PM to 3 PM. Bowling and shoe rental costs will be covered. Registration is free but required.
Document Shred Events
Join us for upcoming free document shredding events! Keep your sensitive documents out of the hands of identity thieves. Your documents will be shredded on-site, free of charge. Volunteers will be available to assist, so you won’t even need to get out of your vehicle.

Age with Attitude Photo Contest
Celebrate creativity and aging with the Age with Attitude Photo Contest, hosted by the Aroostook Agency on Aging in honor of Older Americans Month. Open to all ages, the contest invites photos capturing older adults or creative perspectives from photographers 60+. Selected works will be exhibited in May, with awards and a People’s Choice vote during the First Friday Art Walk. Submit by April 15, 2026.
The Scamdemic Up Close
Join AARP Maine and our collaborating partners the morning of April 23rd for this free event either in person or over Zoom. All are welcome. Registration is required. Light refreshments will be provided for those attending in person.
