AARP Hearing Center
The AARP State Offices in Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio, and South Carolina commissioned telephone surveys to explore the views of their 18+ or 45+ residents on expanding the Medicaid program in each state.

Key findings include:
- Many (58%) Missouri residents age 45+ support expanding Medicaid to cover adults with no children who earn up to $15,000 a year. 58% strongly or somewhat support the expansion of Medicaid in the state so that adults with no children who earn up to about $15,000 a year can have health care coverage.
- Many (62%) 18+ Nebraska residents support Medicaid expansion if the cost can be covered by eliminating unnecessary government programs. 62% strongly or somewhat support expanding Medicaid in Nebraska if the cost of the expansion can be covered by the elimination of unnecessary government programs.
- Many (58%) Ohio registered voters age 18+ support expanding Medicaid to cover adults with no children who earn up to $15,000 a year, and 56% say they would support Medicaid expansion knowing that currently adults with no young children who earn $15,000 a year and do not qualify for Medicaid benefits would qualify for benefits.
