‘Date My Grandma,’ an AARP Video Series

Follow 6 grandparents on blind dates set up by their matchmaking grandchildren

Dating after 50 can be tough. It’s not easy to reenter the dating pool after the loss of a spouse, the end of a marriage or a breakup. The good news: You are not in this alone:  New research from AARP shows 56 percent of single grandparents 38 and older are either dating or open to the possibility, and many are game to have family members make a match, with 37 percent saying it is the best way to meet someone special.

In AARP Studios’ new six-part original series, Date My Grandma we chronicle six grandparents as they attempt to find companionship (and perhaps even a love connection!) with a little help from their doting grandkids.
