What is the annual wellness visit?

En español | This is an annual visit to develop or update a prevention plan just for you, based on your health and risk factors. You’ll pay nothing for this benefit if the doctor participates in the Medicare program. It is covered once every 12 months. You become entitled to this visit at no cost to you after you have been enrolled in Medicare Part B for longer than 12 months. You should be aware that if your health care provider performs additional tests or services during the same visit that aren’t covered under the annual wellness benefit, you may have to pay cost sharing and the Part B deductible may apply.
