Welcome to the third class of instructor Joy Puleo’s Functional Health series, from Pilates Anytime, an online streaming platform.

In this 28-minute class, learn how to use movement to help release tension in your neck and shoulders and strengthen your trunk and arms. This gentle but challenging workout is designed to help reverse and reduce the tension and stresses of our technologically advanced lifestyle on the head, neck and shoulders. This class offers modifications for all fitness levels and beginners are welcome.

About the instructor

Joy Puleo is a nationally certified Pilates teacher with Pilates Anytime. She’s based in Sacramento, California, and is the education program manager for Balanced Body, which provides Pilates training and sells Pilates reformer machines. She earned her master’s degree in applied physiology from Columbia University. As a lecturer, she presents at conferences and studios across the country and abroad. Joy has been teaching Pilates teachers since 2002 and in the health and wellness industry since 1996.
