Good food has a way of bringing people together. This fall, AARP Texas and Dallas College are partnering to offer a cooking series that blends practical kitchen skills, healthy eating, creativity, and social connection.

The Cooking for Older Adults series helps participants enhance their culinary skills, promote healthy eating habits, and enjoy the social and emotional benefits of cooking. These interactive classes include essential techniques, nutritious meal planning, and creative recipes tailored for older adults. Join us for these classes:

  • Healthy Cooking for Older Adults – Nutrient-rich meals to support overall well-being.
  • Easy One-Pot & Slow Cooker Meals – Simple and convenient dishes with minimal cleanup.
  • Low-Sodium & Heart-Healthy Recipes – Flavorful meals that support cardiovascular health.
  • Meal Prepping & Freezer-Friendly Cooking – Save time and effort with make-ahead meals.
  • Cultural & Comfort Foods – Exploring traditional recipes with a healthy twist.
  • End of Course Showcase- Student showcase their cooking skills in an end of course celebration.

Registration Information
To register, complete the online form and select the campus and class you would like to attend. Registration is limited to one campus per submission. If you would like to register for classes at multiple campuses, please submit a separate registration form for each campus.
