There’s something special about picking up a pencil, brush, or pastel and giving yourself permission to create. This fall, AARP Texas is partnering with Dallas College to offer older adults a welcoming opportunity to explore art, enjoy meaningful social connection, and experience the joy of lifelong learning.

Art & Drawing for Creative Aging classes are designed for all experience levels, so you do not need to consider yourself an artist to participate. Through guided arts and drawing activities, you’ll enjoy creative expression while supporting cognitive stimulation, fine motor skills, mindfulness, emotional well-being, and connecting with classmates.

More Ways to Benefit

Think of it as a relaxed, encouraging space where you can say, “I tried something new today,” and leave with more confidence, new ideas, and perhaps a few new friends.
