Every February, we take time to honor the stories, creativity, and resilience of African Americans whose contributions continue to shape our communities and our country. Black History Month is a chance to celebrate the past, recognize the present, and spark inspiration for the future — and we’re excited to celebrate it with you.
This year, AARP Texas has put together a lively mix of events happening all month long. Whether you’re tuning in from home or joining us in person, you’ll find plenty of ways to connect, learn, and be inspired. We’ve got everything from author conversations and virtual tours to cultural deep dives, community gatherings, film screenings, and wellness-focused sessions. There’s truly something for every interest and every schedule.
Events are free, many are virtual, and all are designed to bring people together in meaningful and engaging ways. Take a look at what’s coming up, bookmark this page, and join us as we celebrate Black History Month across Texas throughout February.
