Pickleball continues to grow in popularity, and this is the perfect time to give it a try or build on the skills you already have. AARP Lehigh Valley is offering two types of sessions at St. Luke’s SportsPlex: one for brand-new players and another for those who have taken clinics before and want to improve. Please read the class descriptions carefully to ensure you sign up for the correct level.
Pickleball 101 is designed for people who are brand new to the sport or have very limited playing experience. This session introduces court positioning, basic rules, scoring, paddle handling, and foundational movement. Guided instruction and beginner only open play create a welcoming environment for learning.
Important:
This class is for beginners only. Please do not sign up if you have played regularly, taken several clinics, or already understand the fundamentals. Open play in these sessions is for beginners only so everyone can learn at the same pace.
What to bring:
Pickleball 201 is for participants who already know the basics and are ready to build confidence and consistency. This class focuses on serve and return placement, movement patterns, court awareness and early strategy. Coaching is hands-on, and participants spend time in guided play to reinforce new skills.
