Discover Northeast Ohio’s incredible parks in a whole new way with AARP’s Photo Exploration Hike Series. You’ll enjoy relaxed, guided walks designed to help you notice details you might normally pass by. Led by an experienced photographer, Rick Santich, we’ll blend mindful observation with simple, practical tips for framing and capturing great photos. Explore beautiful park settings, spark your creativity, and connect with others who enjoy looking at the world a little more closely.
No experience? No problem. These hikes are designed with everyday photographers in mind, even those who prefer to participate with the camera on their mobile phone. You do not need any special equipment or technical know-how, just curiosity and a device you already enjoy using. Along the way, Rick will share approachable techniques you can use right away to frame your shots. At the end of the walk, participants will have the opportunity to share their favorite shots and celebrate our unique perspectives.
This program is a five-part series, with each session highlighting a different Northeast Ohio park. Join us for one hike or all five. Each session will offer new landscapes, seasons and weather. From forest trails to canal paths and nature centers, each walk is an invitation to slow down, get outside, and capture what matters most to you. Space is limited. Register today to secure your spot.
