Ahead of the winter season, AARP Montana has set up a resources page so residents with low or fixed incomes can see if they’re eligible for help through the federal Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program or other heating programs.
“Older Montanans shouldn’t have to choose between paying for heat and affording other necessities like food or medicine,” says Tim Summers, AARP Montana state director.
The page offers details on a range of heating and energy assistance options. Find it at aarp.org/MTUtilityHelp.
