Help Shape the Future for Floridians 50+: Volunteer with AARP Florida’s Executive Council
AARP Florida is looking for passionate, knowledgeable leaders who are ready to turn their expertise into meaningful impact. If you care deeply about strengthening communities and helping people age with confidence, one of two new volunteer opportunities on AARP Florida’s Executive Council may be a perfect fit.
The Executive Council is a team of leadership volunteers who work under the guidance of AARP Florida’s State President and State Director to help advance AARP’s strategic priorities statewide. Council members play an important role in providing insight, shaping strategy, and positioning AARP as a trusted and influential voice on issues that matter most to Floridians 50+ and their families.
Right now, AARP Florida is seeking volunteers for two specialized leadership roles: Fraud Prevention Expert and Work and Save Expert.

Executive Council Member – Fraud Prevention Expert
Are you knowledgeable about fraud prevention and passionate about protecting people from scams? As a Fraud Prevention Expert, you’ll help guide AARP Florida’s efforts to combat fraud and raise awareness about the risks facing older adults and their families.

This role offers a flexible time commitment, including a quarterly conference call and an annual in-person meeting. Regardless of where you live in Florida, meetings and training are conducted using web-based technology. Travel and related expenses are reimbursed.

Executive Council Member – Work and Save Expert
Do you have experience with small businesses, retirement plans, or workplace savings programs? AARP Florida is also seeking a Work and Save Expert to help advance policies and strategies that support financial security for workers and small business owners.
