The AARP Member Survey is conducted every four years, providing insights on AARP members’ concerns and interests, as well as the activities and experiences they have had in the past two years.

Methodology

For this wave, AARP contacted a stratified random sample of 168,784 members in all 50 states and the District of Columbia, inviting them to participate in this survey, either by mail or online between April 7 and July 14, 2025. A total of 20,612 members completed and returned surveys for a response rate of 12%. This large sample allowed us to produce state-level reports for each of the 50 states, as well as the District of Columbia, which you can find on this page.
