Dr. Gerard “Chuck” Rainville is a Senior Research Advisor at AARP, where he has contributed to the organization’s mission of enhancing the quality of life for older Americans through data-driven policy analysis and public education. With over two decades of experience in public policy research, Dr. Rainville specializes in aging, brain health, and caregiving. His work has informed numerous AARP studies, including surveys on dementia stigma, sleep and brain health, and the financial impact of caregiving.
Dr. Rainville holds a Ph.D. in Justice, Law, and Society from American University, with advanced training in quantitative methods and public policy. He has held research and analytical roles at the U.S. Department of Justice, Freddie Mac, and the National District Attorneys Association, among other organizations.
Based in Silver Spring, Maryland, Dr. Rainville continues to be a leading voice in AARP’s research initiatives, advancing evidence-based solutions to the challenges facing older Americans.
