Find them when you need them with AARP Perks™, an internet browser extension that offers reminders as you browse online and visit sites with related information and products. Plus, when you install it, you'll earn 750 AARP Rewards points! AARP Perks is only available on desktop or laptop computers.

Steps to Install AARP Perks™ on Google Chrome

Step 1: Visit the Google Chrome Store

Click Add AARP Perks™ to My Chrome Browser to visit the Google Chrome Store. Then, select the blue Add to Chrome button at the top right of the page.

Step 2: Grant Your Permission

Your permission is always required to add an extension. Click Add extension to install AARP Perks™. 

Step 3: Log In and Start Browsing

To make sure it’s really you, you’ll be asked to log into your AARP account. Then, get ready to connect with all the great things your AARP membership offers.

Steps to Install AARP Perks™ on Microsoft Edge

Step 1: Open the Google Chrome Store

Click Add AARP Perks to My Microsoft Edge Browser to visit the Google Chrome Store. Then, choose Allow extensions from other stores in the top blue bar. Select Add to Chrome at the top right of the page.

Step 2: Allow Edge to Install AARP Perks™

Next, a pop-up will appear. Click Add extension to download AARP Perks on Microsoft Edge.

Step 3: Verify Your AARP Account

You’ll be asked to log back into your AARP account. Then, you’re ready to browse and keep connected to all the great things about your AARP membership.

Steps to Install AARP Perks™ on Safari

Step 1: Open AARP Perks™ in the Mac App Store

Click Add AARP Perks™ to My Safari Browser to visit the Mac App Store. Then, select the blue Get button at the top right of the page. 

Step 2: Edit Your Preferences

Once installed, select Open, then Open Safari Extensions Preferences. Next, a dialog box will appear with all of your Safari Extensions. Make sure AARP Perks™ is check-marked in the left column.

Step 3: Enable AARP Perks™ on Safari

In the right column, select Allow on All Websites and reopen your Safari window. You’ll be asked to log back into your AARP account to verify it’s really you. Now, you’re all set to take your AARP membership with you wherever you browse.

No, currently the extension is only available on desktop and laptop computers. A mobile version is currently being developed.

Yes! If you already have AARP Perks™  installed on your browser — and you also have an AARP Rewards account — please follow these simple steps to earn your points:

  1. Locate the AARP Perks™ icon in your browser bar and click on it. 
  2. Navigate to the My Account tab. 
  3. Click Log out located in the middle of the tab. 
  4. Follow the prompt to log back in, using the same email address and password you use for your AARP account.

You will now receive your AARP Rewards points. Members earn 750 AARP Rewards points for installing AARP Perks™ and get up to 15 daily points for reading an article or learning about a member benefit from the browser extension. Non-members receive 500 points for installing, and 10 daily rewards points. Trade your points in for AARP sweepstakes entries, local deals and much more.
