Igloo has recalled an additional 130,000 coolers for a defect related to the tow handle that may pinch fingertips, causing cuts, fractures, or amputations, according to an announcement from the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).
Since first disclosing the issue in February, nearly 1.2 million coolers have been recalled. So far, there have been 78 reports of fingertip injuries, including 26 resulting in fingertip amputations, bone fractures or lacerations.
The recall affects Igloo 90-quart Flip & Tow Rolling coolers, all featuring the Igloo logo on the side.
The products were sold nationwide by retailers such as Costco, Target, Academy, Dick’s, Amazon.com, and IglooCoolers.com, with prices ranging from $80 to $140.
