Check out the choices the Golden's had.
1. Portland, Maine - Condo in the City ($2,500/month)
“The New England waterfront is a draw for us,” Vivian says, noting the bustling coffee spots, brewpubs and galleries in Portland. They scoped out a two-bedroom condo rental that offered water views.
2. Everywhere Road Trip ($80,000)
“We’ve spent most of our married life at home,” Vivian notes. So why not become full-time RVers? But first they would have to purchase a truck and a trailer.
3. Dansville, New York - Vintage Empire ($56,000)
A Victorian cottage in Dansville caught the Goldens’ attention. It needed major renovations, but it was cute and, at a foreclosure sale, dirt cheap.
Their pick: Options 2 & 3! They hit the road, then bought the cottage!
Dansville, New York ($56,000)
The Goldens pointed their RV west in September 2021 and drove through more than 20 states — visiting friends and following their travel whims. Being on the road “completely renewed our relationship and energized us,” Quinn says, but being full-time nomads got old, so they snapped up the New York cottage. The renovation is in progress.
