Twins Jonathan, left, and Drew Scott, are stars of HGTV’s Property Brothers, which has spawned four spin-off shows, a housewares line and a new book, It Takes Two: Our Story, out in September. AARP asked the brothers to steer three age 50+ couples through far-reaching remodeling projects. Watch as they meet with our couples, and then click below the video to see the results of the three makeovers.

The Bonus Room: Space for Everything

Andy and Betty Harris would like to renovate an unfinished room in their Nashville home for fun activities. Andy is hoping to transform it into a "man cave," while Betty would like to have a playroom for visting grandkids.

The Crafts Corner: A Room of Her Own

Rick and Suzanne Becker would like to create a space for Suzanne’s second-act career as a home-based printmaker and paper artist in Galveston, Texas. She is seeking a home office space that promotes creativity and cuts down on clutter.

The Kitchen: From Easy to Elegant

Sheldon and Kelly Bulgatz used their kitchen as the family hub while raising seven children in their Las Vegas home. Now, with their three remaining at-home children (ages 17, 13 and 9) gaining independence, Sheldon and Kelly would like to transform the large, eat-in kitchen into a more intimate, adult-centered space.
