Who Will Win On ‘The Voice’ Season 27?

Meet the final eight singers on the hit competition reality show

Now eight await their fate! The 27th season of The Voice, which launched Feb. 3, has been ruthlessly shedding singers for weeks. Over the playoff rounds on April 28 and May 5, the field of 20 narrowed to eight as coaches John Legend, Kelsea Ballerini, Adam Levine and Michael Bublé each chose two singers to advance to the semi-finals on May 12.

After the eight were decided, host Carson Daly, 51, announced a surprise twist: each coach will be allowed to select a third team member to compete. The four Super Save contestants will be introduced when The Voice resumes at 8 p.m. May 12 on NBC.

That episode kicks off the live performances and a power shift from coaches to fans, who will vote for their picks overnight via The Voice website or The Voice app.

On May 13, voting results from the top 12 performances are revealed. Four are voted through, four are sent home and four will perform for the Instant Save. Only five singers will head to the finale.

Part one of the live finale is May 19, when each of the five will perform a ballad and an up-tempo song. On part two May 20, top acts will take the stage, and finalists will perform with their coaches. One singer will be anointed “The Voice” and will receive a recording contract.

The NBC reality show, a favorite among 50+ viewers, has tracked the contestants’ triumphs, setbacks and learning curves through blind auditions, battles, knockouts and playoffs.

Meet the eight still in the fight.

TEAM KELSEA

Iris Herrera

Iris Herrera

The singer: The 19-year-old from Newaygo, Michigan, taught herself piano and picked up an appreciation for Mozart from her mother and Latin music from her father. She is enjoying a spectacular comeback after failing to win over a single coach when she auditioned last year. Undeterred, Iris threw herself into vocal training and breathing exercises, then auditioned with a daring take on The Pine Ridge Boys’ “You Are My Sunshine.” Three coaches turned their chairs in a bid to nab her.

The songs: In the battle rounds, Iris and Simone Marijic delivered a powerful version of Lizzy McAlpine’s “Ceilings,” and Kelsea picked Herrera as the duet’s better half. The coach also chose her over another team member for her moving interpretation of Ray LaMontagne’s “Jolene.”

Alanna Lynise

Alanna Lynise

The singer: Alanna, 21, found her voice and calling at 11 after her first performance in church. Growing up with eight musically inclined siblings in Toledo, Ohio, singing brought joy and solace, especially during hard financial times. She graduated from the Toledo School for the Arts and headed to Atlanta in 2023, where her soulful “1+1” by Beyoncé at an open mic night went viral and jump-started her career.

The songs: Three coaches fought for Alanna after she auditioned with a silky, gorgeous “Issues” by Julia Michaels. She crushed SZA’s “Nobody Gets Me” in the playoffs, and did Miley Cyrus proud with her soulful “Angel Like You.”

TEAM ADAM

Lucia Flores-Wiseman

Lucia Flores-Wiseman

The singer: Eager to explore her Hispanic heritage, the Mexican-American from Maple Valley, Washington, learned Spanish while studying in Spain. She grew up loving music and was especially fond of Brandi Carlile, Amy Winehouse and Norah Jones. Carlile invited her to perform at a benefit concert after they met by chance in 2018 at Lucia’s high school. The 22-year-old performs regularly at local festivals.

The songs: Lucia’s charisma and distinctive voice have dazzled the coaches since their four chairs whipped around for her passionate “La Llorona.” Her momentum never slowed as she swiftly became a favorite with the standard “My Funny Valentine,” Benson Boone’s “Slow It Down” and The Beatles’ “In My Life.”

Kolby Cordell
Greg Gayne/NBC

Kolby Cordell

The singer: The 33-year-old from Ontario, California, began singing at 9 and by 17 decided to devote his life to music. He spent six years booking studio time, recording albums and distributing CDs outside grocery stores. He released the songs “Hello” in 2021 and “Don’t Call” in 2023. When not working as a materials handler for the U.S. Forest Service, he spends time with son Karter, 6, and writes songs and performs.

The songs: During the knockouts, Legend dropped Kolby, but Adam snatched him with his last steal. The R&B singer’s staying power can be attributed to his energy and robust, soulful vocals. Kolby delivered commanding versions of Bruno Mars’ “Finesse” and Luther Vandross’ “Never Too Much.”

TEAM JOHN

Bryson Battle
Greg Gayne/NBC

Bryson Battle

The singer: The 21-year-old singer, dancer and actor from Harrisburg, North Carolina, hopes to pursue musical theater after completing his remaining year at Berklee College of Music. He was inspired by such vocal greats as Ariana Grande and Beyoncé, and says one of his goals is to raise performance standards for young Black artists.

The songs: For his audition, Bryson submitted a soaring version of Donny Hathaway's “A Song for You,” earning four turned chairs and a standing ovation from the coaches. With remarkable range and control, he triumphed in every challenge from Muni Long’s “Made for Me” to Aretha Franklin’s “Ain’t No Way.”

Renzo
Greg Gayne/NBC

Renzo

The singer: The 33-year-old Philadelphia resident (who prefers to capitalize his name as RENZO) is a science teacher, producer, songwriter and father of three. He has collaborated with such renowned artists as The Game and Teddy Riley. Seven years ago, he competed on American Idol as Dennis Lorenzo. His stage name is based on a character from a soap opera he used to watch with his grandmother.

The songs: In a voice that is emotional yet polished, Renzo wowed coaches with his versatility and ability to put an original spin on songs from Hozier’s “Too Sweet” and Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Simple Man” to a left-field choice like Billie Eilish’s “Happier Than Ever.”

TEAM MICHAEL

Adam David
Greg Gayne/NBC

Adam David

The singer: Adam David, a 34-year-old singer-songwriter, guitarist and producer from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, first explored music on guitar, then found his voice at a performing arts camp and has been a working musician since 2008. He has opened for Gary Clark Jr. and the Black Crowes. A former addict, he’s been clean for five years and considers music central to his healing process. Adam performs at rehabilitation centers weekly, sharing his music and experiences to inspire others in their recovery.

The songs: Adam’s reggae-tinged cover of Peter Frampton’s “Baby, I Love Your Way” prompted only Michael to turn his chair. But his authenticity and raspy, earnest voice have had staying power. Coaches praised his fresh interpretations of Allan Stone’s “Unaware” and Bob Dylan’s “I Shall Be Released.”

Jadyn Cree
Casey Durkin/NBC

Jadyn Cree

The singer: The 23-year-old has two jobs in Lincoln, Nebraska. She works full-time as a sales assistant at a window and door company. And she’s the lead singer of AM/FM, a band that performs 80s cover songs. Her all-male bandmates range from 50 to 60 years old. Her father is Bryan Olesen, who finished in the top three of The Voice Season 25.

The songs: Jadyn has a winning mix of pop fizz and punk grit, a combo that served her well in choices like Avril Lavigne’s “Keep Holding On” and Paramore’s “Still into You.” And she proved capable of shifting gears with her poignant “Danny’s Song” by Loggins and Messina.
