Rock of Ages (June 15)
Nearly 30 years after Tom Cruise danced in his underwear to Bob Seger’s “Old Time Rock and Roll” in Risky Business, he’s more buff than ever as the too-hot-to-handle rock star Stacee Jaxx. Cruise (50) costars in this big-budget musical drama about L.A.'s rock scene in the 1980s with Alec Baldwin (54), Bryan Cranston (56), and 40-somethings Catherine Zeta-Jones and Paul Giamatti.
Of course there's lots and lots of classic rock by such boomer icons as Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, Foreigner, Journey, Poison and Twisted Sister. It’s directed by Adam Shankman, who brought us the immortal screen romance of Christopher Walken and John Travolta in Hairspray.
