At 61, Brad Pitt Says He Feels ‘Reinvigorated’ by His Career

“It gave me a feeling like I’ve never had before,” Pitt said.

While others his age might be contemplating retirement, Hollywood veteran and heartthrob Brad Pitt says he’s feeling reenergized after the completion of his upcoming racing film, F1.

At a recent event for the movie in Mexico City, the 61-year-old actor said he isn’t slowing down, even after an acting career spanning nearly four decades.

“Doing this this long, and to find something that was almost like starting over, it was so full of passion and it gave me a feeling like I’ve never had before,” he told Extra. “It was just sublime.”

The Ocean’s 11 star previously told the New York Times that he was going to do fewer movies.

He joked, then reiterated his decision in a 2024 joint interview with GQ alongside his close friend actor George Clooney.“

Now, I’m doing one movie in a year and a half [laughs]” Pitt said. “No, I’m still kind of on the same trajectory. I feel the same. I’m really just trying to enjoy the people that I love around me and just living. I don’t know how to not sound cheesy about it, but just the air is fresh and grass is green and I’ve just kind of become that guy a little bit.”

Pitt also addressed end-of-life concerns that come with age, saying, “You start to understand this idea of mortality and that it is something we all have to deal with.“You just become more aware of it.”

By all measures, the Golden Globe winner seems to be embracing getting older.

“I don’t want to be running from aging,” the actor told Vogue in 2022. “It’s a concept we can’t escape, and I would like to see our culture embracing it a bit more, talking about it in those terms.”
