Real Possibilities with Jay Stone Shih: Social Isolation

Social isolation and loneliness are becoming severe social issues, especially for the elderly. It can affect the physical and mental health of elders. Especially for Asian American and Pacific Islander immigrants who only understand one language – they most likely suffer from not only social isolation and language isolation, but also cultural isolation. AARP aims to help people get access to the right information and helpful activities before they start becoming socially isolated or lonely. Make good use of AARP’s helpful resources, learn more about the definition and signs of social isolation and loneliness, help yourself and your family stay away from isolation and loneliness, and enjoy a more vibrant and fruitful life.
