As the nation prepares to mark the 250th anniversary of the United States, communities across the country are reflecting on what it truly means to honor service, sacrifice, and shared responsibility. In Utah, AARP is doing just that—by bringing people together for meaningful, hands on service.
On July 2, AARP Utah will host a National Day of Service in partnership with Blue Star Families, offering a patriotic opportunity for people of all ages to give back to the military families who give so much.
Volunteers will take part in a hands on service project designed to show appreciation for military families while fostering a sense of unity and purpose. Military families often face unique challenges—from frequent moves to long deployments—but strong communities can make a meaningful difference. Through service, participants will help create those connections and reinforce the message that military families are not alone.
Registration is required to help organizers plan effectively and ensure a positive, welcoming experience for all participants. Details about the service project will be shared with registered volunteers in advance.
