About the event

Family caregiving often starts with a simple act of love: helping with errands, attending a doctor’s appointment or checking in on a loved one. Over time, those responsibilities can grow.

“Mama’s Girls” brings caregiving conversations to the stage through humor, heart and family dynamics. The play offers a relatable look at the moments many families face when caring for a loved one.

AARP is hosting this event to help people connect with caregiving information and resources that can support families before, during and after a caregiving journey.

Why caregiving conversations matter

Many families do not know where to begin when a loved one needs care. Others are already helping with appointments, meals, finances, medications or daily tasks and need support.

AARP Family Caregiving Guides are designed to help family caregivers navigate their role, including how to start important conversations, assess a loved one’s needs, create or update a caregiving plan, ask for help and care for themselves.

“Mama’s Girls” brings these topics to life in a way that can feel familiar, accessible and meaningful for families.
