Continue Your Teaching Legacy with the AARP Kansas Speakers Bureau
As a valued member of AARP—and a retired educator—you know the impact of a great teacher doesn’t end with retirement. The lessons you’ve shared, the confidence you’ve built, and the lives you’ve influenced continue to ripple outward every day.
AARP Kansas invites our educator members to keep making a difference by volunteering with the AARP Kansas Speakers Bureau.
Share Knowledge That Matters
Our Speakers Bureau relies on trained volunteers to educate Kansans on issues that affect their everyday lives and strengthen their communities. Topics include:
- Fraud prevention
- Brain health
- Caregiving
- Technology basics
Former educators are exceptionally well‑suited for this role. Your experience communicating clearly, engaging diverse audiences, and breaking down complex topics makes you a natural fit. Whether you’re leading a discussion or answering questions, your teaching skills remain invaluable.
We Support You Every Step of the Way
AARP Kansas provides comprehensive training, ready‑to‑use presentations, and ongoing staff support—so you can focus on what you do best: teaching and connecting with people. Presentations are offered both in person and virtually, and volunteer schedules are flexible to fit your lifestyle.
A Meaningful Way to Stay Engaged
If you’re looking for a rewarding way to stay active, share your expertise, and serve your community alongside fellow AARP educator‑NRTA members, we would be honored to have you consider this opportunity.
