AARP Florida's Age-Friendly Network
The AARP Network of Age-Friendly States and Communities helps communities turn good intentions into real, lasting improvements that make everyday life easier for people of all ages—especially older adults.
Through education, collaboration, and practical guidance, the Network equips local leaders, elected officials, and engaged residents with the tools they need to rethink how their communities support health, mobility, housing, and social connection. Members learn from one another, share proven strategies, and focus on solutions that reflect local needs and priorities. The goal is simple but powerful: create places where people can thrive at every stage of life, from young families to older neighbors who want to age in place with dignity and independence.
Florida is already leading the way with 46 AARP Age-Friendly Members, demonstrating what’s possible when communities commit to thoughtful, inclusive planning. Take a look at our communities!
