Dorothy Siemon

ABOUT

Dorothy Siemon, Esq., is the senior vice president for the Office of Policy Development and Integration (OPDI), and an attorney and a policy expert on aging issues. She is responsible for the development and oversight of AARP public policies that serve as the foundation for AARP’s multi-pronged efforts to address major issues facing older Americans.

Siemon served as director of health and LTSS from 2007 through 2013 and then served as vice president of OPDI through 2017. In addition to her work with OPDI, she serves on various national boards. 

Prior to joining the OPDI, Siemon was a senior litigation attorney for more than ten years for the AARP Foundation, writing amicus briefs in federal and state courts, including the U.S. Supreme Court. She also served as counsel in numerous class action cases involving Medicare, Medicaid, and long-term care facilities. 

Siemon graduated from the Georgetown University Law Center.
