We inform thought leaders and decision makers internally and externally with strategic insights about the needs, market conditions, and trends impacting people 50-plus to fulfill AARP’s mission of enhancing the quality of life for all as we age.

The AARP Public Policy Institute promotes the development of sound, creative policies to address our common need for economic security, health care, and quality of life. PPI serves as the focal point of public policy research, analysis, and development at AARP.

The Policy and Brain Health team helps AARP deliver on its mission to empower people to maintain healthier brains over their lifetimes. Our work includes developing and disseminating the evidence base needed to reduce risk, improve care, and accelerate innovation in the search for a cure for dementia.

The Thought Leadership team works across sectors to cultivate and elevate new ideas, solutions, and relationships to make healthy longevity and financial resilience attainable for all people as they age.

AARP International engages with global stakeholders to challenge and change thinking about aging. Working with international institutions, civil society, and the private sector, we elevate aging in global public discourse, identify innovations from around the world, and connect new audiences to AARP’s work.

The Office of Policy Development and Integration helps AARP deliver on its values by managing the policy development process, overseen by AARP’s Board of Directors, and ensuring alignment of AARP’s work with our policy positions.
