Edem Hado, MPH
Senior Policy and Research Manager
ABOUT
Edem Hado is a Senior Policy and Research Manager at the AARP Public Policy Institute, where she drives development of innovative policy solutions that address the growing long-term care needs of older adults and their family members. Part of that work involves conducting quantitative and qualitative analyses of long-term care and Medicaid policies, both current and proposed.
Before joining AARP, Hado worked with home care agencies that were developing a technology platform to help caregivers more easily manage their duties and diverse roles. In addition, in a practicum at MassHealth’s Office of Long-Term Services and Supports, Hado worked on a quality measurement project evaluating beneficiary experience of care in the MassHealth Personal Care Attendant (PCA) Program.
In addition, Hado contributed to the edited volume, “Older Adults and COVID-19: Implications for Aging Policy and Practice” and serves as vice president of the Harvard T.H. Chan DMV Alumni Board.
Hado holds a masters of public health from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and a bachelor of arts in community health and preventive care from Brown University.
