“We have a long history supporting veterans who have served in the armed forces,” said AARP Kentucky state director Troy Broussard, a Desert Storm Army veteran. “We launched our Veterans and Military Families (VMF) initiative to really focus on what’s important to the veteran. They told us how they want us to show up.”
In a recent AARP survey, veterans revealed their greatest needs relate to caregiving, fraud, connection to benefits, and career help.

Veterans are eligible for up to 45 percent off AARP membership. Get one year for $15 when you sign up for automatic renewal, three years for $38, or 5 years for $55. Anyone can be an AARP member – you don’t have to be over 50.
