“We have a long history supporting veterans who have served in the armed forces,” said AARP Kentucky state director Troy Broussard, a Desert Storm Army veteran. “We launched our Veterans and Military Families (VMF) initiative to really focus on what’s important to the veteran. They told us how they want us to show up.”
In a recent AARP survey, veterans revealed their greatest needs relate to caregiving, fraud, connection to benefits, and career help.
