Welcome to San Francisco

Tony Bennett isn’t the only one who left his heart in San Francisco. In 2016 alone, 25 million people visited the City by the Bay — and you can bet many of their hearts also yearned to stay.

The city has it all — it’s physically beautiful with gorgeous views of the Pacific Ocean and San Francisco Bay, culturally rich, intellectually stimulating, politically engaged, historically layered and culinarily cutting edge. It has long been a magnet for dreamers and romantics, and for travelers too, who come to savor its rolling hills and vistas, history and arts, restaurants and museums, spirit and soul.

The character of San Francisco is always evolving, but its essence stays the same: It’s a place that welcomes the new, celebrates diversity, embraces experimentation, nurtures aspiration — and knows how to have a good time.
