AARP Wyoming Offers Free Financial Foundations Series With Hilltop Bank Trust and Wealth Management

CHEYENNE — AARP Wyoming and Hilltop Bank Trust and Wealth Management are offering a series of free, in-person financial foundations sessions across the state to build confidence in your money decisions. Learn the essentials of estate planning and how to make thoughtful investment decisions in retirement. There will be no sales pitches.

The sessions are free, but registration is required. RSVP online at events.aarp.org/legacywy or call 1-877-926-8300 and mention "Wyoming estate planning." Visit the website or call to learn more about specific times, dates and locations. These sessions are free and educational; you do not have to be an AARP member or Hilltop Bank customer to participate.

“These classes will help attendees take practical steps to preserve what they have built, protect the people they care about, and plan for the future with confidence,” said Jennifer Rohrer, Senior Vice President, Hilltop Bank Trust and Wealth Management.

June 24 at 10 am - Estate Planning event at Ramada Plaza in Sheridan

June 24 at 2 pm - Estate Planning event at Johnson County Library in Buffalo

July 8 at 10 am - Estate Planning event at Laramie County Library in Cheyenne

July 15 at 10 am - Estate Planning event at True River Cross Commons in Casper

July 22 at 10 am - Estate Planning event at the George Amos Memorial Building in Gillette

Aug. 12 at 10 am - Investing in Retirement event at UW Extension Classroom in Cody

Sept. 9 at 10 am - Investing in Retirement event at the Laramie County Library in Cheyenne

Sept. 16 at 10 am - Investing in Retirement event at the Central Wyoming Senior Center in Casper

Sept. 23 at 10 am - Investment in Retirement event at George Amos Memorial Building in Gillette

Rohrer said the estate planning class will cover essential documents, common planning mistakes, and practical steps that help families avoid confusion and reduce unnecessary stress.

The investing in retirement class is designed for anyone planning for retirement, nearing retirement, or already retired, and will help attendees understand how thoughtful portfolio decisions balance risk and return—building an appropriate mix of investments, managing market ups and downs, and addressing risks such as volatility and inflation.
