AARP Wyoming Upcoming Government Relations Teams Webinars
CHEYENNE – AARP Wyoming’s Government Relations Team (GRT) will host a public discussion on a variety of upcoming topics.
GRT meetings will be open to the public at AARP Wyoming’s State Office in Cheyenne and will also be available via Zoom. There is no need to be an AARP member or over age 50 to listen in, but registration is required. A link will then be sent to you before the event. Click on the links below to register for each event. Future GRT meetings for the summer include:
- August 20 - The balance between Cost of Living Adjustments (COLAs) and the health of Wyoming’s Public Employee Retirement Accounts has long been a topic of discussion among state retirees. On Aug. 20, the Wyoming Retirement System will join AARP Wyoming’s Government Relations Team to discuss the condition of the state’s public retirement accounts and how COLAs are determined.
- September 17 - As Wyoming’s election integrity has come into question, proposals for ballot casting processes and methods have become more common. On September 17, AARP Wyoming’s Government Relations Team will be joined by Laramie County Clerk Debra Lee, who will give us the rundown on election changes and processes for 2026’s general election.
- October 15 -The Wyoming Legislature's Joint Corporations, Elections, and Political Subdivisions Committee has been busy during the interim, discussing a number of utility issues. On Oct. 15, Cale Case, the Senate Chairman of the Corps Committee, will discuss the Corps Committee’s ambitious agenda of utility topics.
- November 19 - Legislative Preview and Issues that have come to the surface during the 2027 interim.
- December 17 - Legislative Preview and Issues that have come to the surface during the 2027 interim.
About the GRT
AARP Wyoming’s GRT meetings are held in-person in Cheyenne each month and are also available online, allowing anyone in Wyoming to join. There is no cost to join. To join the GRT, simply email Tom Lacock at tlacock@aarp.org.
