Older voters decide who wins elections in Wisconsin. In the 2024 General Election, Wisconsin voters age 50+ made up nearly 60% of the electorate.

We asked the two candidates — Congressman Tom Tiffany and Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley — to create a short video answering:

Key 2026 Election Dates

Wisconsin’s Partisan Primary will be held on Tuesday, August 11, and the General Election will be held on Tuesday, November 3.

General Election Dates to Know

October 14 - Voter Registration deadline if using mail or online
October 20 - First day of early voting (in-person absentee)
October 29 - Deadline (5:00 p.m.) to request a mail-in absentee ballot.
October 30 - Deadline to register in person at the municipal clerk’s office (can register at the polls on Election Day)
November 1 - Last possible day for early voting (in-person absentee)
November 3 - Election Day

Important Information About Mail-In Voting

We encourage you to confirm the election dates and details by visiting myvote.wi.gov

In Wisconsin, your absentee ballot must be RECEIVED by the clerk by 8 p.m. on Election Day to be counted. Place your completed ballot in the mail well before Election Day to ensure that it arrives by the November 3 deadline for the General Election.

If you run out of time to return your absentee ballot by mail, you can drop it off at your polling place on Election Day.
