Thanks for staying motivated and active with AARP Texas Get Fit. This year, we’re adding more online options. We know that health looks different for everyone, so this program is flexible too. Whether you want to move more, eat better, care for your mind, or stay informed about your health, Get Fit and Healthy brings these ideas together in four areas that support healthy aging:

💪Walk Across Texas Community Challenge
Mondays | Noon-1p.m. CT
Step into a healthier year with Walk Across Texas—an eight‑week community walking challenge designed to motivate you to move more each day. This self-paced activity encourages participants to walk in their own neighborhoods while tracking miles and virtually celebrating progress as a team.

💪Mobility Mondays
Mondays | 11-12 p.m. CT
Mobility Mondays focuses on exercises that help improve balance and flexibility while building strength. This series can help you move more comfortably throughout the day, whether you are reaching, bending, or simply staying active.

💪Mindful Pilates for Strength & Flexibility
Tuesdays | 10-11 a.m. CT
This live Zoom Pilates class is designed to help strengthen the body, improve posture, and increase flexibility through mindful, guided movement.

💪Let’s Move with Zumba Fitness
Tuesdays | 12–1 p.m. CT
A free virtual Zumba class in partnership with the Anita N. Martinez Ballet Folklorico, features easy, Latin-inspired dance moves—standing or seated—to boost mood, reduce stress, and support overall well-being from home.

💪Tai Chi
Wednesdays | 10-11 a.m. CT
Get your blood flowing with an invigorating online tai chi class featuring gentle, continuous movements and deep breathing to help reduce stress, improve mobility, and support overall well-being.

💪 Chair Yoga
Wednesdays | 1–2 p.m. MT
Chair Yoga classes support flexibility, balance, and relaxation and are perfect for all fitness levels. Sessions focus on mindful movement, breathing, and stress relief, all while using a chair for support.

💪Strength Training for Healthy Aging
Wednesdays | Noon-1 p.m. MT
Regular strength training can help improve mobility and support everyday activities. This series focuses on exercises that build strength in a safe and approachable way.

💪 Balance and Mobility

This free online series is designed to help you move with confidence through gentle, equipment‑free workouts that improve balance, flexibility, coordination, and joint health for every fitness level.

A free, fully inclusive virtual Zumba class with FitMix Communities, designed for all abilities—including wheelchair users and caregivers—with adaptable, easy-to-follow dance routines set to uplifting Latin and global rhythms.

💪Latin Dance Fitness

In partnership with MD Anderson Cancer Center, this free virtual series offers expert-led sessions on nutrition, physical activity, cancer prevention, and caregiving—so you can make confident health choices from home.
