Free Movies and Screenings with Gold Coast Arts!
Grab a friend and come out to the movies, on us. This fall, enjoy screenings of L.A. Confidential, Driving Madeleine and short films at venues across Long Island. AARP Long Island is collaborating with Gold Coast Arts Center to bring these free film screenings and special movie events to AARP members and guests.
All events are free for AARP members and guests, but registration is required to secure a seat. Be sure to stop by the AARP table at each event to meet our volunteers and learn more about AARP programs, resources and activities in your community.

Retro Film Screening and Discussion: L.A. Confidential

Gold Coast Arts will present a screening of the 1997 neo noir crime thriller L.A. Confidential, followed by a discussion with film professor Foster Hirsch.
Based on James Ellroy’s 1990 novel, the film follows a group of Los Angeles police officers in 1953 and explores the intersection of police corruption and Hollywood celebrity.

Driving Madeleine

Join AARP and the Gold Coast International Film Festival for a special encore screening of the award-winning film Driving Madeleine, presented free by AARP in recognition of National Family Caregivers Month.
A taxi ride across Paris becomes a moving journey as a driver gets to know his 92-year-old passenger and learns about her extraordinary past.
The film will be shown with English subtitles.
