Give back. Make friends. Change lives. As AARP Missouri's Volunteer State President, you'll have the opportunity to make a difference in YOUR community by supporting causes that matter to YOU, participating in local events, reaching out to community members, and advocating for change.
In partnership with the State Director, and in collaboration with other staff and volunteers, the Volunteer State President advances AARP's vision, mission, and strategic priorities across the state.

About the State President: The State President is the top volunteer leadership role for the state office and works closely with the State Director and staff. This person will assist with leading AARP Missouri’s Executive Council. Advocate for issues like caregiving, fraud prevention, and Social Security for people 50+. Every AARP state office has a State President and Executive Council. This role is an active member of the Executive Council.
Who Should Apply: We are looking for passionate and dedicated individuals who are committed to making a difference in the lives of older adults. Ideals candidates will have:
- A strong interest in AARP’s mission and values
- Experience in leadership roles, either professionally or through volunteer work
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- A willingness to commit time and energy to the role
