This lecture explores platforms where generative AI is available, how it simplifies tasks, and key privacy considerations to keep in mind when using these platforms. A light lunch will be served. This lecture will discuss AI-driven deepfakes and voice cloning, explain why they’re hard to detect, and share best practices and tools for evaluating and identifying AI-generated content. AARP Iowa is partnering with the Iowa Department of Insurance & Financial Services and the Iowa Attorney General’s Office for a statewide series of free educational events designed to help you learn how to proactively spot and avoid scams and fraud.
