Rebecca Perron

ABOUT

Rebecca Perron, Ph.D., is a senior research advisor in AARP Research, where she performs primary research related to older workers, age discrimination, and on Social Security and age discrimination. Her work includes quantitative research, such as creating surveys, performing data analysis, writing reports, and generating strategic insights. She also performs qualitative research, such as focus groups and individual interviews. Perron is also responsible for evaluation research of AARP metrics.

Before joining AARP, Perron worked at Westat. While in her doctoral program, she was a Somers Long-Term Care Intern at the National Academy for Social Insurance and held internships at the National Institutes of Health – National Institute on Aging and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. 

Perron earned a doctorate in gerontology from the University of Maryland Baltimore County, a master’s in survey research from the University of Connecticut, a master’s in public health from the University of Massachusetts, and a bachelor’s in psychology from Middlebury College.
