ABOUT
Bryan Miller, PhD, is a research manager in the Financial Resilience and Health team within AARP Research. In this role, Miller leads consumer facing research related to Social Security and regularly conducts research on Medicare and other savings and planning topics such as private market investments and annuities.
Before joining AARP, Miller spent several years at Collage Group, a market research firm focused on diverse audiences, first as the leader of the content team that produced all of Collage Group’s syndicated research and then as the head of research operations. He also spent time at the Advisory Board Company as a health care policy and operations consultant and at the National Academy of Medicine as a member of the team researching diagnostic errors in medicine.
He holds a doctorate from Johns Hopkins University in the Philosophy of Science and Psychology, a master's from Georgia State University’s Philosophy and Brains & Behavior Program, and a master's in applied economics from the University of North Dakota.
