At Home Comfort: Plan Ahead with Lowe’s and AARP
Home: comfortable, supportive, adaptive. We expect our homes to last a lifetime, through all the joys and milestones. Over the next two years, AARP will be working with Lowe’s to ensure the needs of everyone who calls a place home can live completely at any life stage.
An ageless home should be attainable. That’s why AARP and Lowe’s are collaborating to help homeowners and renters alike prepare their homes for graceful aging. Through simple tips, helpful videos, and instructional resources, AARP and Lowe’s aim to educate everyone on the benefits of universal design, smart home technology, and other tools that will enable people to remain in their homes for as long as they wish.
Consumer education from AARP is available on the Lowe’s Livable Home™ website and includes new videos and articles based on a range of AARP content, including AARP HomeFit®. In-store signage promoting the collaboration will also be featured in select stores. From complete room renovations to minor adjustments, such as adding appropriate bannisters and grab bars, this collaboration seeks to make homes safer and more comfortable regardless of age or ability.
