Home: comfortable, supportive, adaptive. We expect our homes to last a lifetime, through all the joys and milestones. AARP collaborated with Lowe’s to ensure the needs of everyone who calls a place home can live comfortably at any life stage.

An ageless home should be attainable. That’s why AARP and Lowe’s worked together to help homeowners and renters alike find information and inspiration to make their homes fit their needs now and into the future. Through simple tips, helpful videos, and instructional resources, AARP and Lowe’s featured the benefits of universal design, smart home technology, and other tools that enable people to remain in their homes for as long as they wish.

Consumer education also included new videos and articles based on a range of AARP content, including AARP HomeFit®, and in-store signage promoting the collaboration was also featured in select stores. From complete room renovations to minor adjustments, such as adding appropriate bannisters and grab bars, this unique collaboration helped to make homes safer and more comfortable regardless of age or ability.
