generic-video-poster

Older adults and people with medical, mobility or disability-related needs in rural Virginia struggle to find safe, trustworthy transportation. The Regional Transportation Collaborative introduced the Gold Seal, a visible designation indicating that a transportation provider, such as a volunteer driver, has been vetted and approved. More than 150,000 miles of rides have been provided since the AARP grant, and the number of vetted volunteers and drivers has grown. According to the collaborative, the assistance provided through the Goal Seal provides has been worth nearly a half million dollars.
