2026 Shorty Impact and Signal Awards nominations
AARP

AARP has been nominated for 11 Shorty Impact Awards, which recognize the best content on social media and other digital platforms published by mission-driven organizations, and two Signal Awards, which honor podcast creators who experiment and take risks. Together, the competitions offer the audience a chance to vote for their favorite story, podcast or video.

Finalists for the Shorty Impact Awards include a video profile of Gary Tyler, who rebuilt his life through quilting after he was released from a four-decade-long wrongful incarceration; the story of a young caregiver who tends to her mother with Alzheimer’s; and “Etiquette Roulette,” a video series that has AARP employees going head-to-head to answer questions that explore generational perspectives on workplace habits and professional norms.
