CHEYENNE — Want to make a real difference in your community? AARP Wyoming is looking for people who care about older adults and want to give back in meaningful ways across Cheyenne, Sheridan, and Laramie.

From fraud prevention and caregiving to tech help, Social Security, Medicare, and local advocacy—you can help bring impactful programs to life, online or in person. Give as much or as little time as you want—training, meals, and mileage are covered.

AARP

“With just four staff members serving the entire state, our volunteers are not an extra — they are how the work happens,” said Jennifer Baier, AARP Wyoming Associate State Director of Outreach and Local Advocacy. “They help us reach people we could never reach on our own, and they bring local knowledge, heart, and credibility to everything we do.

“Volunteering with AARP Wyoming is not about sitting through another meeting or signing up for a huge commitment,” Baier adds. “It is about showing up in ways that fit your life, using what you know, and helping your community while having a good time doing it.”

AARP Wyoming has more than 100 volunteers statewide who help lead events, welcome participants, share resources, support online programs, and connect neighbors with information that can make life a little easier.

Whether you enjoy meeting people, working behind the scenes, helping online, or supporting events in your own community, AARP Wyoming has a place for you.
